I turned down $1,000 for BPO dot BIZ. Am I crazy? It was probably coming from and user but not a very motivated one.

What do you think? I think it's worth mid-high $x,xxx to the right end user. And there are tons of potential end users for this one.

BPO means Business Process Outsourcing, an industry that is worth between 120 and 150 billion dollars.

.biz isnt too popular, but its still very valueable for an enduser. It fits the extention, and the .com is forwarding to a big company.

maybe try to sell to the .com owner?

I would have accepted even $100, .biz is just ugly, if they had so much money they would had bought the .com or .net

BPO is also Realtor slang for a cheap, drive by, appraisal. An out of state mortgage company getting into a foreclosure situation will call a local broker and ask for a BPO. The broker drives by the place, maybe takes a few pictures and sends a guesstimate of value.

I find the domainer bias against dot biz pretty funny. I am finding lots of domains where all the tlds except biz are taken. Many of these are small niche subjects and all the tlds are parking pages that in my opinion are unlikely to ever make the owner any money.

If I think it will be a long time if ever before anyone will be interested in building out the dot com, and I don't plan a huge site, I will always take the dot biz.

Did you counter offer at all? I think its a great price and I assume a high ROI....might be tough to find the end user that will pay mid $x,xxx.

Follow the old saying, only sell it for what you believe its worth.

Great offer for a .biz, I would have bitten their hand off .

That's a pretty good offer for a .biz. Did you counter-offer?

Well, they started off by offering the minimum $60 and went up to $1000 after me countering several times down from $5000. My last counter offer was $3.3K

Thanks for the information, mhdoc.

Any LLL.BIZ with premium all letters should be worth about $100 minimum reseller. :)

I agree. I would have done it and spent the money on .com or maybe some short .org's.

i can't believe people think LLL.biz with premium letters is trash. i know .biz is not that popular, but even LLL(s)? i disagree. i think the $1k offer was a decent offer. you should have countered with about $1.5K, but its your decision. I think you should accept offers in the high $xxx to low $x,xxx for this name though.

LLL means letter, letter, letter so it is a short name and can be used for acronyms. :)

This was not for LLL dot BIZ but BPO dot BIZ. :)

Ok, you turned down 1k, you countered with 3.5k - IF! you're lucky enough that they come back with one more offer above the 1k, or even if they stick with the 1k offer, i'd jump on it.
Yes, there's potential in the letter combination, but there's not much potential (if any) in the extension.
