Hiya,

On December 19th I made an offer for one of my domain names and the person interested accepted via email. They said they were leaving on the 19th of December and coming back home on the 27th of December and would contact me then. The 27th was over a week ago and I still have not heard from the individual. I've sent a bunch of emails, none of which were replied to.

How long should I wait before I post the domain for sale on namepros? Is it safe to list it now?

Thanks!

-Matt

This happens to me all the time. People correspond well at first, but when it comes time to buy, they just fall off the face of the Earth and I never hear from them again, even after repeated attempts to contact them.

If he said he'd be back Dec 27 and you haven't heard from him by now, and he doesn't respond to your emails, it's likely he's changed his mind. I personally would have relisted ther domain for sale sooner...

Yep, same here.
This person is obviously not that interested in the domain and is costing you money at this point.

It definitely happens. People seem interested, but don't have the common courtesy to tell you they aren't anymore.
It's their loss.... relist it.

I concur with the above. Just relist it for sale. This happens to me quite frequently- the most annoying time when it was on ebay ... deadbeat bidders. I always fear leaving neg feedback because they often leave a neg back to you even though you did nothing wrong.

For what it is worth I agree with the above :imho:

Re-list and I hope this time you get a real buyer :)

Domain offers are just like women. They say they will call you back tommorow and hardly ever do. :(

Ditto as what others said above. While I rarely say anything good about ebay, if you use them for a venue to set up a sale, you at least have a little bit of recourse (leaving neg feedback). However, as someone already stated, the person often leaves negative retalitory feedback for you even though you haven't done anything wrong.

Best of luck getting the domain sold.

Nah i think what you mean is, Women are just like domain names - you can never get the one you want and when you do, you can't rid of it fast enough ;) And of course the ladies around here could aim that just as easily at the male sex ;)

Also worth bearing in mind, is that an IDN name is probably now a great thing to have as it means you've picked up a scandinavian. And a hyphen is now a benefit as it likely adds value :D

Ouch

How can one thread become so ??????????? :yell:

Anyways woman are like domains because....

You have found something you always wanted
You are now addicted
You now cant live without them
You talk about them all the time
You chat about "my ones better than your one"
You swap about but soon realise his is NOT better than yours
You start to complain about them
You still cant live without them

:hehe:

And sorry for the above not related to the thread :xf.love:

Let us know if you do sell

The situation just happened to me a few days ago. I asked one price, a gusy said that if I reduce price he would take the domain. I did, but then he just said that it was not him who wanted the domain and that he tried just to broker it and other blah-blah-blah. Well, this kind of things happens all the time.

List it now.

From now on you should just give a deadline on payment, so you don't have to worry about "how long should I wait?"

I'm used to non-paying domain buyers, esp. on Sedo!

assuming the person has not paid for the domain I would relist it.
Actually appears you have been more than generous.

Personally, I would have relisted as soon as they asked to wait for such a period. :)
