.mobi I regged a .mobi again today (Opinions keep/ask 4refund??)

After a spell of about 8 months in which I have not regged anything I just regged another .mobi.

RECREATE.mobi

Keeper or ask for refund quickly material?

IMO, 1 word names that aren't entirely obscure may prove to be a decent investment if you truly believe in the .mobi extension (eg. recreate.com would be worth a fair bit). There aren't really any buyers for names like this at present, and you can't really apply any kind of "percentage" of what the .com would go for to such names.

Worth the regfee at present? No.
Worth 5x regfee five years from now? Maybe. Maybe alot more.

I agree. "Recreation.mobi" would be worth a good amount right now, but this version of the word will take a little more work to get up to a good value. But it's not a bad name if you're willing to wait/develop...

I think it is an ok name as well if you are planning to develop a portfolio and I somewhat disagree with the strategy of many on the board who are regging two or three word names because of high keyword searches. They are operating under the assumption that the mobile internet is going to work the same way as they are use to add driven pc content currently working. On the flip side, because as Reece correctly pointed out, there is not a huge market for these types of words you can get a far better name on the aftermarket for only minimal premium above reg fee. (This is actually my strategy and as an example which will probably lead me to be outbid on a couple of the names I suggest looking at the auctions being offered right now on this forumas a prime example of this). Now, mobi could fall on its face and I am out the money anyway but as a general strategy I actually think these types of names are a safer play then some that may have high ovt but include multiple words. (i.e. newyorkhotels,)
