I'd love any appraisals anyone is willing to give for any of the 18 names below. I registered them last week when Godaddy had its $0.99 .com special promotion.

As a side note, I can find names like this all day long un-registered and available. But I'm new to this so the trouble is, I don't know what is worth more than reg-fee, and what is not. That's why I was only willing to risk $1 each on these rather than full reg-fee. I figured one or two good ones in the pack could make a few bucks.

Sure would love to team up with someone who knows what's what.

Thanks again for any appraisals on any of them. Maybe at least a couple of them are good? Several of the phrases have good search volume.

In total, what might someone turn this $18 investment into? Domains only, no traffic or revenue.

Best,
ez

not going into detailed appraisal, but all good domains with high development potential into micro sites

is the godaddy 99cent .com promotion still alive ?

imho, you're on the right track - .com, commercial products and services, with search volume.

however, i'm not sure what your definition of "good search volume" is. mine is 10,000+, for some domainers it will be 100,000+

e.g. say you get 5% of those searches resulting in a visit to your site, 5% of that 5% click through and you get 5c for a click. how much are you making? of course those figures could be much higher or much lower, it's just a rough set of numbers to illustrate a point.

what might you sell them for? well, you might find a business that wants to pay you between $10 and $10000 for some of them, but probably not, how aggressive a salesperson are you? my advice? park them and any that don't cover their reg fee, or sell, then do not renew.

what might you sell them to a domainer for? as far as i can see, none of them have enough search volume for me to buy them at any price. but that doesn't mean no-one else would buy them.

Coolcode, thanks for the comments. The promo ended last week. I sure would love to know more about the things you said. Development potential into micro site? Can you point me in the direction of ANY good information that will help me develpe or monetize these names? I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks again.

-NC-, thanks for all you said too. You’re right, the search numbers for those phrases aren’t as good as I was thinking.

When you asked me how aggressive a salesman I am... it makes me wonder how to go about selling these, or any names at all, aggressively. I’ve seen auctions, etc that don’t get much action. Like I asked coolcode, can you point me in the direction of any information that might help me learn how to sell the names aggressively rather than passively. I’d love to know. And I’d love to work at it.

I have also found so many other names, with better search numbers, that I won’t register until I know that I know how to unload them, or develop them for profit.

I really would appreciate some direction. I would make it worthwhile for you or anyone willing to point me in the proper direction.

Thanks,
ed

PS: I forgot to ask you about the 10,000 searches you talked about. Is that using Google Keyword Tool, and is it broad, phrase, or exact match?

I like raftingcompanies.com... to me that's the only one with real value. Turn it into a directory.
