I need to know, driving me insane!

I am trying to remember the name of the song, or the artist, or anything related to the song so I can find it.

I can remember is, its from the early to mid 90s, might even be as late as 97, and its kind of a gospal rap song, where at the end of the chorus, he says something about JC. it was a big hit back in the day.

I thought maybe it was something like "can I get a witness" but every song I find with that title is not it.
