I need some help with a great idea!!

Hey everyone,

I have a great idea, but I'm not sure where to start. I have a domain (raced.me) and I understand that some people don't like the .Me TLD. But the truth is that they are growing rapidly.

"ME Domains Enjoy Record Growth in 2009 - In less than a year .ME domains became more popular than .asia, .jobs, .coop, .aero, .int, .mil, .museum, .name, .pro, .tel, .travel, and other 200 country code top-level domains"

Anyway, back to my idea. I feel that raced.me fits well with it's extension, for example "he raced me/he raced.me". It works well in my opinion, and I think it can be a very popular name.

My idea is to have a website like youtube but for a car community. I want the site to be a worldwide community for car enthusiasts. People can come talk about their cars, modifications, post videos of races from street racing, Nascar, drag races, etc. As well as post pictures/videos of their own cars to talk about.

Cars are a big market all over the world. There are even movies such as The Fast and The Furious (4 parts) that are built around cars and racing, which was a very successful series by the way.

What I would need is a developer or business partner to develop a site or help pay to have this site created. I would like to find someone I can do this together with and in return we split the profits 50/50.

I'm a Graphic Designer myself, and I also do Web Design, however I don't do any developing.

Does this interest anyone? Any advice on what I should do?

You should write a business plan. Google how to create a solid business plan if you don't already know how to do so, and then pitch your idea to established and successful developers. You're going to be hard pressed to find a serious business partner or investor unless you've got a plan.

I'm sure you can find some good developers here or from a quick Google search.

You should provide links to examples of your graphic design and web design work.

You are not going to hook a development partner with Raced.me on the end of your line. It's like trying to catch a Great White using a maggot as bait or saying you've got a really good name for an album and you're looking for a song writer and a band to split the profits 50/50 with.
