Ok Things I need help with, all help appreciated, will donate $np

1) My Internet:-
My Internet over the past two days has been really bad, when I open a new window it loads really slow, says its not responding etc. When i click the thing on the taskbar it doesn't come up for litterally 10 minutes and during that time just shows a white box. I connected my phone to my computer and accessed the internet through it fine... Thus I don't know whats going on. Any help would be appreciated.

2) My school:-
My school use Dans guardian to block access to various websites. Fair enough but now they have banned Dreamhost, and Rapidshare *annoying* All I know is the school use a proxy... is there anyway around these banned sites? Also my school is going to impose a 50mb daily quota for downloads. That will be devestating for me as I download a lot each day, what can I do??

3) Anyone got an account on psp crazy i can use to access their downloads forum?

1) You possibly may have Spyware.. have you tried Spybot Search + Destroy? The same thing happened to me last year I believe and Spybot got rid of the problem

2) There are many proxy sites out there that can get to banned sites. Get online, and go a bit of digging

3) Use a datastick and directly download to it through proxy

Well, I'm not sure why RapidShare is essential for you. If you are sharing with someone or vice versa, use a different service.

There was a post on NP a little ways back about someone finding their script on Warez sites, and it how it was distributed. I read a little more into this, and it said that sites like these do share many warez files. My recommendation is not to mess with what your school is trying to do. This could get you in more trouble than you expect, even if what you're doing is competely legal.

They are trying to protect their bandwidth along with trying to keep virii out of their network.

Regarding the first item the following are important to do if not done so already:
1)Run the full set of computer tests at pcpitstop.com.It can often tell you if something is wrong.
2)Run spyware and virus scans of your discs.
3)If you are running a router your network settings could be set wrong.
4)Check your available disc space and defragment your disc.

There are many other possibilities but I find these have often solved most problems i have had,are quick and free.

Re school:They have those rules for a reason it is best not to try get around them.
Respect the rules set out and discuss with the instructors and let them decide.

everyone at our school just used webproxys to bypass any content filtering.
i even made a website (which i sold and so do not own anymore) about it with tutorials ages ago...umm what was it called somethink like www.bypass-firewalls-and-filters.info i think

Thanks for all your replys, my main problem is quotas I can download a max of 200mb a day, one file I want to dl is 600mb, any ideas?

Hmm, 600mb DL is a problem. The only way past that, to my knowledge, is to somehow disable the quota detection. Do you have access to CMD (Command Prompt) when you are logged onto a PC?

try to "flush out" your "dns" goto your start menu...then goto run..type in cmd then type in ipconfig hit the space bar then typye in /flushdns then hit enter
then type in exit

should then go to Internet explorer tools menu at the top ....click on internet options...then delete cookies....then click on delete files (make sure to check the "delete all offline content" box) then hit ok....then click on clear history ...you should notice a big difference in speed after that...

You may want to restart your system after you perform all of the above...(I'm referncing a windows operating system on all the above info...)
