I just sold my first domain with Sedo, what now?

Hi i sold my domain as buy it nov with sedo.
The escrow payment has been received , but what now?
it show me message:
"Escrow payment received
Payment has arrived in Sedo's escrow account.
We kindly ask that you do not start the transfer process until we contact you with instructions to do so."

I wait for 2 days, and it is not holiday now, do i have to wait more or it is my turn? What i have to do now? Do i have to unlock the domain in my godaddy account? Because nobody contacted me yet

From my experience, it's not unusual.
It could be that Sedo is waiting for instructions from the buyer ie. how does he/she prefer to gain ownership of the domain.

As the others say, just wait. Sedo is usually really realy really slow. So just wait until they send you further instructions.

you will/should get an email from sedo, telling you to log-in to your Sedo account and proceed with the next steps in the process.


make sure you only follow instructions posted in your account at Sedo

Congrats on the sale. Sedo has accounts at many registrars, and will usually give you instructions on how to push to them.

But for some tld's where they can't do this, they will give instructions to the two parties on transferring the domain directly.

Same had happened to me while selling domain through NDX market. The buyer BINed it but I didn't receive any further instructions My acc manager apologized saying the buyer was not interested and has been banned.

The seller transfers to sedo who then transfer to the buyers prefered registrar, if they have recieved payemnt ...... all is good

Worth noting they may be in a different time zone but the main thing is that they have recieved the payment

As mentioned just wait for the email asking to transfer the name to them, it could be as simple as the consultant working on your domain is sick for the day or two

The transfer procces is done. I received the payment, i was just suprised how much action does it require.
Together 12 steps took 13 days.

I have been waiting for over a month to contact the purchaser of a name of which my name may be of benefit to them, however the contact has been listed as 'escrow transfer' for a while now

Maybe something went wrong, some transactions do go smoother than others it seems
