I have registered some domains at Netrillium.com and actually i dont have access to them. After you buy a domain, they manually register it at their enom account and sometimes they give you a user-pass at access.enom.com just to change nameservers. Renewal is up to their hands.

Is it legal?

Don't know about legality, but check the whois to see who shows up as the registrant... if it's them, you'll want to rectify this, especially if you're looking to sell these names...

I've actually come accross a couple of instances where website designers will register a name and create a site for an enduser client, and end up holding the owner hostage by charging ludicrous renewal or service/maintainance fees. Make sure all the pricing, renewals, etc are clearly stated on their website - or better yet, choose a different registrar.

Don't buy domains from your host...

I'm afraid that's the modus operandi for many hosts.
