I HATE Satellite Internet!

I wish we had Dial up, satellite is the STUPIDEST internet EVER! I've been waiting for Blogger to load for 25 minutes now - and I keep getting errors like "This document contains no data".

And even on the nicest days with no clouds or anything, we'll have frequent downtime.

I CAN'T RUN A BUSINESS LIKE THIS!!! ARGGGGG!!!! (It's the only high speed available here)

I use blueyonder cable...they are not too bad...cut me off a lot thought...they say they are unlimited....no way are they they cut me off loads

Why can't you use dialup? If you're using satellite you are already using dialup for your outgoing traffic. If the satelite is on the fritz there's no reason you couldn't use that same line for bidirectional traffic.

If you're looking for better speed you might look into multiple lines. Years ago, when you couldn't get a 10 meg line for the price of a six pack here, I used to link 3-4 phone lines which would give me the equivalent of a 128k+ line.

they are unlimited, i do close to the region of 300gb a month down my 4mb pipe never cut me off never even had a letter telling me to watch my usage.

It's not just sattelite. There has been a major problem between two internet backbone giants namely "Level 3" and "Cogent". Level 3 has blocked all the incoming requests from Cogent sattelites resulting in a blackout in many place.

I got a letter saying my 712kb/s was upgrading to 4mb, i have been on before downloading 5 things and then my internet cut out...reset router works again...carried on downloading...cuts out again...they cut me off all the time for downloading it really is annoying
