I Hate PayPal!!!

I am probably never going to use paypal again, about a month or 2 ago i set up a subscripion with someone, well anyways. i leave my computer for about a month... i tried to stay off it for awhile because im on it to much, and i forgot all about the subscription, now my bank account is "-$140" i thought paypal couldnt take money out of your account unless i did it myself!! I know this is parcially my fault.

Thats actually not got anything todo with paypal, but more todo with your bank..... An overdraft depends entirely on the bank.

You admit that you forgot about the subscription which you knowingly setup.

You can hate Paypal, but it isn't fair to blame them for this. It's not their fault you didn't understand how the subscription worked, or took off from your computer for awhile.

It's your fault that you hate PayPal and not theirs :D You setup this subscription therefore you should know how it operates and how the funds will be transferred from your bank account on the payment date. You can't just blame PayPal for everything bad that happens to your PayPal account. You have to learn to take the blame on yourself sometimes.

Yep, and the worst part is, my bank charges $33 for every little overdraft, and I had a bunch of $2-$5 charges on PayPal, so it put me $200 in the whole for overdrawing like $25.

Same thing happens with debit cards/credit cards and subscriptions. Its all up to your bank or credit card place. I had this happen a few times.

I used my Debit card for a dedicated server monthly fee. My check days I would deposit enough to cover the server. Some months the server place would charge me early, one time the bank would denie the charge but then the next month would let it go through. I got pissed and cancelled the bank account because I deposited $300 one afternoon when the bank was getting ready to close and the server place charged my card the next morning. The bank debited my account the $300 then charged me an over draft then put my $300 deposit in. They refused to budge on it so I said screw this.

I always keep more than enough in the account for the automatic debits, though I don't really like the auto recurring and avoid it when I can. I'd rather have control of when I pay them rather than it automatically taken out. I've never overdrafted my account in the 5 or so years I've had it. But then I watch the account like a hawk...
