discuss I got lost a exp dn on GD. Can I snatch it ?

Hi,

I heavily lost a very valuable domain expiring. I thought i would email the who.is email and get it from him by offering him some money. But, the person says

"We no longer have this domain name registered. It appears that someone already registered it on April 9, 2018. Sorry."

But the who.is email and contact is still the same. The tech email is different. I mailed the Reg email and not the tech email. It seems the guy does not show much interest currently since i didnt give him any definite price. Or it may be he is clueless as to how to get the domain back ? Please give me your views and guidance on how to negotiate with him.

Did that. It still shows him to be the contact. Curious and strange!
