<first name><last name>.com

Where the person has <first name><last name><business>.com

It is a very very very common name. I'd guess there are 20,000 people alive with the same name. However it is this persons name and not mine. They emailed me from the email address <first name>@<first name><last name><business>.com

I checked out their website/Google and they are quite a big deal in their industry. They've done work for some major publications and there are numerous news articles having been written about them, quoting them etc.

Their current website is a PR 4 and is xx,xxx, xxx in Alexa.

This domain gets a steady 3-5 type ins a day as well.

Initial offer was low xxx.

What should my counter offer be? And what price should I come down to?

How about offering to lease it to them? If so what price range?

Thanks for any tips. I've never sold a domain before :snaphappy:

if the name is as popular as you say, i would ask $7000-$8000 and accept a couple thousand less. if this end-user can pick up his ideal domain in the 4-6K range, that's fair on both ends.

Wonderful, I was going to quote much less.

Yes it is a very popular name, taken in all major extensions as well (I just checked).

Also a tm issue from the sounds of it.

Just dont get so greedy that the $1500 udrp filing fee sounds like a better option.

If they really are as big as you say, they might just come after it anyway - unless your name is firstname lastname as in the domain.
