I don't have anything good or bad to say about .tv. I am impartial to it.

I must say though, I am an internet addict and I pretty much never bump into .tv sites. I know Justin.tv and a lot of TV stations using .tv, but can anyone point to some good size sites using .tv that were launched in the past couple years?

This is important because the quality of development within the namespace is the primary factor in extension values.

I see it occasionally on the net. Main place I do see the extension though is traditional tv advertising, television shows using the address amd the occasional tv ad. I think that is and always has been the major market. Obviously that plays into the hands names that actually suit the extension, it is a niche extension, not a mainstream extension where anything works.

This is important because the quality of development within the namespace is the primary factor in extension values.

For .tv it never really has been like that. The extension is worthwhile buy the main thing driving values has been registration fees. Of course that has all been shaken up and now alot of relaunched names have value, but the actual usage landscape is the same and not likely to change due to the decision in my view. It is what it is.

For the record, sir, I'll have you know that many good Scotches actually benefit from the thoughtful and metered introduction of water. This evening, I've been working on a decent 12 year old Balvenie and can confirm this to be true.

Unfortunately, there is no likewise silver lining to shitty weed.

i like dot tv but dont use any tv sites,i do see tv advertising these are mainly in the morning not in the evening.

with the world cup coming up it would be good to see some advertising at half times, especially on the final when England play Brazil.

I will let you know in about 1-2 weeks. 2 are closing tomorrow at Sedo, DM.tv and Arabic.tv, and another for $10,000 in about 1 week to a private buyer/friend which I will disclose then. Very good ROI.

That is a good question because I don't think Jeff Overman has made money in the extension, despite lot of talking in the past about how well he and others were going to do.
