I have a question.

I always hear the general consencus is to avoid hyphened domain names.

What if you found a name consist of two "prime-keywords"?

And you can get a .com?

Would the name still have a search engine advantage?

Please give me your parked name as well as developed site scenario for the above description

Thank you. :)

Most people on here will tell you to avoid them altogether, but that is a mistake. I would not get any more than a 2 prime keyword with a hyphen between them, even 3 words/hyphens is too much. If the words go together perfect it is not so bad, but much worse than without the hyphen. It is similar to getting the domain without the hyphen in a lesser extension. Also, some domains should have hyphens (e.g. anti-aircraft or most things that begin with "anti")
If you are worried about the search engines, they don't really care about hyphens, but you will get a lot less type-ins.

Thanks

I have seen some 3 word names that fetched a good sum at auction though?

Also, what should be the cut off point as far as traffic is concerned?

How many searches must a term have before I should not consider it anymore?

I know to also look at the cpc payout but just generally speaking?
