Yup.. But make sure it's not trademarked. And wait for some time if you're planning to sell for a high amount otherwise they file a UDRP. Also think of a plan in case they do not buy your domain. What are you gonna do with it? Best of luck!

the domain was owned by another company but it got sold for 800 million$ in 2008 , I can't find another potential end user for the domain , I'll try to contact them.

As long as the name isn't Trademarked then you will be fine. If it is trademarked then it's a bad idea. The hyphen makes no difference.

Always very important to check for Trademarks before you purchase the domain. You also want to make sure you have more than just one potential end user to reach out to. It will be awesome if they write back and want the domain but if this is the only one you can reach out to and there are no more potential ones it is pretty risky since there is a chance they won't respond.

Agree with the above comments. Also if you do get the domain name I would suggest not parking it as ANY income from parking can be taken as a bad faith registration with you trying to profit from the name of the company in a URDP filing.

I would also think about what kind of site could be put up on the site by you, hopefully a totally incongruous site with no advertising or even links to any sites with advertising. If the company concerned sees such a site it is IMO likely that they will contact you to purchase the domain from you. (I would think that someone within the company or its IT/web providers would find your site pretty quickly. ;) )
