Hows my design

My website is all about web resources such as adobe photoshop and so on ive tryed to make a simple and fast design so if you could comment about my design to tell me what you think.

Cool navigation (did you do it from scratch?)

I would do something with the main banner. It looks very anonymous to me now. Also, with the small font you´re using, I would remove the underline under the links, maybe change the color to green you´re using to make them stand out. I would remove the poll (which I find annoying and useless 99% of the time) and shoutbox (idem). It´s a lot of navigation on the left, so be sure to include some avatars, logos or whatever or your eyes might start to dance...

I dont get what you mean with logos and such but am looking for text sized emotions for more color on the news section and such if anyone can help me with that problem
