I've decided to sell my store domain. I've taken a look at Sedo but something tells me I'm missing something about the whole listing and promoting process. Is sedo the best way to go? Are there other sites like Sedo I should try?

I have requested a valuation through the banner at the top of this forum. When I get it, is there a standard percentage that I should ask for?

Any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

The domain is

dogschoice.com

It is currently an active ecommerce site and and the last time I looked was pr4. It is currently registered through March 2008.

I guess I'm not sure how to go about the whole sale process or how much to ask. Any tips or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

:hi:

I think would be a great name for Dog Food or Dog Products company.

NutroProducts has a dog food line called Natural Choice.

You could try contacting their Marketing Dept and offer the domain
for acquisition.

I think you would get a much better price that way.

You can get a Domain Broker to help you if needed.

Alternatively,
you can also list your domain at:
  • Moniker's Domain Marketplace

Note: Free to join
Buyer pays the 15% commission.

You must register a Moniker account first.

  • Afternic ActiveExchange
$19/year to join as a Seller
If you select the Expanded Promotion option, your domain
will reach a potential audience unlike anywhere else

The commission on the Expanded Promotion is 20% with $120 minimum

The commission on the Basic Promotion is 10% with a $60 minium

One thing I forgot to say.

If you list your domain For Sale at multiple locations, do not use
Buy It Now at more than one. Of course ,this is only if you want use BIN.

If you receive an offer to buy anf you accept and then another offer
comes in from a different venue, then just do not respond to the second offer.

You'll find this advice hard to follow if the second offer is a lot higher
than the first. This happened to me but I had to let integrity rule
and go with the first, lower offer.

You should also try ebay. Some people had some luck there.

I've written to Nutro and will take things from there. Thanks for the heads up on listing in multiple places.

I'll post the domain for appraisal here so I have a better idea of what to ask for .

No.
Tell the person who made the second offer that you have to kindly decline their offer, due to the fact of you accepting another offer beforehand.

More ethical imo.
This would also help if you posted another domain for sale on the forum, and he/she was interested, but didnt offer becuase of the non-answering of the PM previously.

I've just woken up, sorry if the above doesnt make sense
