Hello all,

I brought myself a decent portfolio which has some geo duds and a few names I believe I can sell for 100s at least and make a profit.

Buying and registering domains is straightforward but I need to know how to and where to sell.

How to make domains available for sale?

How to get your domains ranked on Estibot?

How to Park a Domain?

When is it better to develop, park or flip a domain?

Should I go through a broker for my first time to see how the process works?

I know there is Flippa, Sedo and GoDadddy marketplaces. I looked around on Flippa and GoDaddy and I don't trust it. I don't know how to ensure I'll get my money.

Sedo seems safe and I think my decent to good domains would do good there. Maybe I can throw my bad names away on GoDaddy and cut my losses?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello all, How to make domains available for sale?

Not sure what you mean by this. Basically you put them on platforms for sale. It's pretty straightforward. Or what you can do is put a for sale page up on your website. When someone types in your domain name, they see that it is for sale.

How to get your domains ranked on Estibot?

Not to sure what you mean about this one. Estibot is a domain name valuation tool. Not sure what you mean about getting them ranked with this. It is not an SEO type of tool.

How to Park a Domain?

There are tons of videos and threads that talk about parking a domain name. Basically you change your name servers to match the name severs of the parking company that you are using. They provide all those details for you.

When is it better to develop, park or flip a domain?

All depends on what your overall goals are. What I can tell you is that if you want to rely on parking income, then that's going to be a challenge as parking payouts have gone down from the years pasts.

Flipping domains is something that you will see popular especially on a forum on this but it takes work to figure out what is a good domain vs a domain name you shouldn't purchase.

Should I go through a broker for my first time to see how the process works?

A broker for what exactly? To buy a name or to sell a name? If you want to sell a name through a broker, the name has to be high quality. If you meant to buy, some brokers offer this service as well.

Not sure what you mean about you not trusting it. Why don't you trust it? Sure there are non paying bidders but usually, most people will pay you after they win an auction or buy your domain. That's part of the platforms duty, to make sure the buyer and seller are both happy.

Sure you can put good names on Sedo but as with anything you may want to look into marketing your names for them to gain more exposure....

Hope that helps =)

I know you don't realise it but you have been of great help in showing us how someone not familiar with domaining in general sees those 3 marketplaces.

thanks

As for your questions in general.... I don't usually say this, but...please start reading about domaining . You just can't have a 'decent' portfolio, as you called it, and ask questions like those.

We'll definitely be here for any questions you might have *after* you get some reading on that topic :)

good luck

The marketplaces you cite are good platforms. Many here sell names on all of them. I have sold names Sedo, and just a couple on Flippa and GoDaddy.
