How Valuable Are Poker Domains?

I've found many good poker domains. I want to know if it's worth investing. I've found exactly 16 domains (15 .com, 1 .net). I don't own any domains except for 1 that I'm developing which isn't worth anything yet, but I was kind of surprised to see these poker domains still available.

Also, if I were to register these domains, should I do it under godaddy.comor what? I want to make sure once I register it, I won't lose it, if that's even possible since I'm new to this whole domain scene. Any help would be much appreciated.

You buy one domain along with quick blog--use code "saveten". Then register the rest of your names, renew quick blog for as many months as you have domains, and use either the $5 off $30 purchase, $10 off $40 purchase, or $20 off $75 purchase--whichever gets you the most off.

EDIT: A TM (trademark) issue would be if I tried to register Microsoft____.com or Google___.com. You can go to uspto.gov and search for trademarked terms.

Poker sites make big money, because people literarlly throw money at them. So, poker PPC and poker affiliates earn big money.

Good as in poker____.com or ____poker.com. Single words that are from the dictionary that apply to poker.

It's very hard to find a good poker name anymore, unless it's some obscure dictionary word ____poker or poker____. Once in a while something pretty good will drop or you'll get lucky.
Even 90% or more of the good poker typos are gone. There is hope for new typos though, because there are always new poker sites popping up. Most of these new poker sites don't bother with trademarking their names, (actually most of the big poker sites, except for PartyPoker, aren't really that worried about it either). Just look at all of the typos that have been regged of the major poker sites, now parked at Fabulous.
If you regg the typos right when these poker sites come out and they end up getting big, then you stand to make some PPC off of them.

About Trademarks, i looked up a name to verify and noticed it has a couple of trademarks connected to it but everyone to a different company?

So how can this be? They all have different activities as well.

Exactly why it's possible. Sometimes companies will only claim right to the name as in "PartyPoker" but it will say, they claim no exclusive right to use the word "poker" except for the way they have used it.

Also sometimes you'll see something like Sunshine Casino trademarked (just an example, I don't know if it's real) and also you'll see that the word "Sunshine" is trademarked. So you'll be wondering, "well can I register anything with "Sunshine" in it?".. the answer is yes, as long as you don't make your business so similar as to confuse the general public into thinking that your business and Sunshine Casino or Sunshine are the same.

Don't take this as the gospel on trademarks, I'm just describing it the way I understand it.

If you're really unsure about a domain, it's always best to ask before you buy. It can save you a lot of headaches.
