Hi,

Is there a link to view the closed auctions sales data directly from godaddy, namejet, buydomains and snapnames?

i am aware about namebio which lists these however i'd like to know the direct link with each of these sites.

I couldn't find a RSS, API or a Direct link for these sites to view the sales data.

Any idea how namebio gets these data ?

Michael Sumner is a bright programmer. There are no links, you want to see NameJet sales be a member and backorder names at $69 after others have then you can see the closing prices.

Go Daddy I track by keeping a browser open for that day while not signed into my account, I check one by one for prices, we used to report on TLDinvestors.com but realized many names get renewed and it may be false data, no one is going back and checking hundreds of names after the fact each and every day.

BuyDomains does not provide a link or RSS.

That sounds like a lot of manual work. It could be easy if all these market places share atleast a rss link with sales feed so we can asses the market better.

But i'm still curious to know how namebio is able to fetch data from namejet/godaddy daily.

Is there a list of market places who provide a rss/api/sales data link besides sedo and flippa?

No there is not, Go Daddy purposely went out of its way to remove domains from your watch list once the auction closed.

Michael is certainly not going to give up his proprietary methodology nor should he, he put the time in to do what he does at Namebio.

NameJet I explained to you what you have to do, backorder names, NameJet is not going to share an api with everyone so they can get their data like that.

Flippa, Sedo, and Fabulous are the only ones that make it easy with an API. The rest of the venues we track such as 4.CN, Bido, BuyDomains, DropCatch, GoDaddy, NameJet, and Pheenix are tracked with custom software that I wrote which automates the data collection.

Some like 4.CN are easy because they have a page on their site with recent sales, others are much more difficult. For example as Ray mentioned, NameJet requires you to place a back order to watch the auction, so our software places in the neighborhood of 50,000 back orders per year to bring you the data.

@Equity Thanks for the clarification!

@micheal Thanks for the information. You have done a great work with namebio. We are building a data sharing site . I'll PM you now to discuss further.

Michael, can you provide reported sales in Namebio.com for under $100 too? This is very important and I am sure other members here would like to see them too.

If you can, it would be of great help to numerous domain investors.
