I'm looking to start a hosting company. I think I have the details worked out for the actual hosting, but I also want to provide a domain name registration service for my clients. How do you go about this? Is it just a script that I need? I presume that I will have to get some sort of account with a registration company like goDaddy. Is this correct?

All help would be appreciated. Thanks.

A lot of hosts use directi.com, it should be integrated into most of the billing systems.

Let me be the first to plug eNom's excellent services for reselling domains. They have like 4 different options that allow you to resell domains.

The most basic reseller type program is their registry-rocket service, which is free if you have a reseller account. (It looks like THIS)

eNom also has API access which lets you build your own interface. Its what we use here on NamePros.

All the info is at
http://www.enom.com/resellers/default.asp

If you need a free reseller account ($8.95 .COM pricing) you can signup for a retail account here and then PM me with your username to request it be upgraded to a reseller account.

$8.95 .COM pricing is the lowest account we can create. You can get $6.95 or $7.95 pricing with a deposit direct with eNom, or on occasion you might be able to find these types of lower priced reseller accounts for sale from other NP members or at eBay.

:tu: for eNom.
