I tried to sell portfolio with lots of details on types of domains included, and included the full name of one domain. Mod flagged bc they want to see every name listed which is terrible; all names end up on Google. People can ask for details by DM.

This was listed as a portfolio — not individual names. Should you be allowed to post only one name, or required to spell out every name in the portfolio? Fellow investors know this is problematic.

Why not ask if it is allowed to post a link showing all names? I saw people doing this and selling Atom names etc.

That’s not a bad idea. But is that enough for mods? They seem to want to see every domain listed in the post which is ridiculous.

It is being asked for transparency and it is actually good, but I can understand your concerns regarding the search results. Perhaos there are other sections that not appear in the searches? Simply ask and see.

I'm sure certain theads/forums here aren't indexed although I can't find which exactly. A link to a document/spreadsheet might suffice or maybe a screenshot of your list in the opening post.

well u can always edit names and mask with commas etc like

my,name,com
etc

or even easier just take screenshots from your registrar or spreadsheet

it takes 2 seconds.

otherwise there is here section for ext sales. which should allow just link. however I think I posted there in past and they still told me to post names. not sure

As long as all the domains being sold are fully transparent/disclosed in the listing and at least 1 domain is in the title, the listing can go in any of the domain related marketplace sections.

For listings that do not disclose all the domains being sold, it would need to be listed in the Promotional section.

However, if your goal is to not be indexed at all, the best thing to do is list it in the Exclusive Domains Marketplace, which is not indexed by search engines, but only visible to vested members, such as Gold Subscriptions, VIP, and PRO members.

You'll still have to disclose all the domains for sale in the exclusive marketplace, but the listing will not be indexed in search engines there.

here's the deal...

word is,
list your domains on all marketplaces for increased visibility, which increases chance of a sale

so....
if the goal is visibility for your domains, then indexing is a good thing
i bet you'd love to have your sales landers indexed in SE's, right?

in 20 years,
i've never had a buyer say "hey, i saw this domain listed on namepros" when i searched google/yahoo.

if anything, seems like it would make it easier for a potential buyer to get in touch.
just saying...
