How to sell a good domain name?

Hi,

I own a good German .de domain name - 5 letters only and descriptive without being too specific, good to remember for the target (automobile) market. A potential buyer offered me a few thousand $ for it, but I'm not sure I want to sell it for that price. I don't even offer my domain anywhere, but about once a year someone would contact me, asking if I want to sell it. As we are speaking I'm having Sedo ("Buy, Sell, Appraise and Auction Domain Names at Sedo, the #1 domain name aftermarket, broker, reseller, and appraiser") appraise it, I'm curious what they'll come up with.

Anyway, the reason I'm posting here is that I'm searching for good how-to information about selling and everything related (where/how to offer it, what to do and not to do, etc.). Do you know a good article, post or wiki page about that?
