I am currently testing advertising on the website and wondering: how can I protect myself from auto-clicks or bots so that my advertising budget doesn't go up in smoke? I've heard that sometimes people spoof their IP addresses or run auto-clickers, and then the advertising money goes nowhere. Is it possible to track such things at the server level (for example, with logs or protective filters), or is it better to use third-party services? I am interested in practical experience — which methods really work, and which are just theory?
