How to order domain at SnapNames?

Recently I am having problems with ordering domain names at snapnames.

These are TRAFFIC Extended auctions domains.
I orderred bile.com and edbr.com, both were showing under $100 when I orderred. However after I placed the order, bile.com became $8,050.00 and edbr.com became $570.00. The first time when I had problem with bile.com,
I was not sure whether I made a mistake or it is the system glitch. The second time when I ordered edbr.com I was 100% sure I did not make any
mistake, and yet edbr.com became $570 instantly. I was very lucky someone
was even more stupid overbidded me for those domains in the end.

When I filed ticket to complain, the answers were not nice. They said I was the only one having the problem. Did I really make mistake or am I missing something?

in general, i don't like dealing with sites that are sneaky-sneaky, cheap cheap. cause it's that way for a reason. shitty customer support, just to name 1. so when people complain about godaddy having high fee's, they have to remember that sneaky-sneaky sites that have low fees do that for a reason.

i prefer to deal with established businesses, like tdnam, godaddy, etc.

You must have been mistakenly presented with the backorder option for the domain name, which automatically switched you over to the traffic auction where the prices were displayed properly after you added them to your cart. The snapnames system can have such errors, but obviously a 4 letter dictionary word at auction is not going to go for less than a few thousand.

Basically, the higher prices you saw After you bid, are really the Reserve Prices for those domains.

I have double checked the minimum price before I ordered, it was not in thousands. This is very strange, hopefully it is just me who had the problem. Still I am reluctant to use snapnames because I still don't know what was the problem.
