How to optimize home page of wordpress site?

I have a wordpress site, and display latest posts on the home page. Once I add new post, the home page will be changed, is that good for seo? Should I create a static html for home page ?

There are lots of great SEO plug-ins that you can use. I like using one by Yoast. It has breadcrumbs,Google Analytics and simple taxonomies.

For me, the most success has been a dynamic homepage. Latest posts, along with favorite posts, categories, and pages. I have mine pleasantly filled with just about everything important.

So far this technique has worked great. Along with that I have NO Adsense on the homepage. And I don't need it because almost all of my traffic comes from individual pages, not my home page. That is because a lot of my individual posts and pages rank on the first page for their keywords.

Hope that helps. Besides having great content just have a nice number of backlinks to your homepage for the keyword you're targeting, but also use others you are atleast going to attempt to target. Looks more natural. Blog posting, forums and guest post. Best way IMO. Don't expect much until you have a lot of content.

Also, place the list of your top posts on your homepage. Just keep it simple and make use of less graphics to enhance the site speed.

Try to make Static Home Page. With rich content and make sure you have keywords in content. You can Install SEO Plugins and update Title, Description. Make sure you Create Site-Map.xml and submit to Google Webmaster, Dont block any URL via Robot.txt
