I have a few domain names up for sale. I've parked them at Sedo but it's not moving . How do I get the auction to move? I've seen many domain names on sale here at this forum but they are all $10. That doesn;t even cover the cost of my reg. What am I missing here? Kindly advise newbie :(

High traffic

Sedo wants names with high traffic, and 1 word, for their auction. Below is part of a email I received from Sedo, pertaining to a name I submitted:

Hello Frank. Thanks for your email.

I am happy that you are interested in submitting your domain to Sedo's auction. At the current time, our brokers are only looking to push domains to auction that are one word with high amounts of traffic coming to them.

So what does that mean? Still can't figure out how to sell the domains. No, I don't have any offers yet.

You can get on the auction 2 ways.

1) As soon as you receive an offer, you can choose to "auction". You must have an offer to do this.

2) Contact Sedo, see if they will accept it to auction, as I did (see the email response). However, remember the email says
"one word",and with high traffic. I don't know what exact figures they want, but a domain with 10 or few visitors won't make it. One with 3,000 visitors will stand a much better chance. Hope this helps.

so they are looking at the traffic pointing to the domain? IS there a way around that?

The other way of starting an auction is to post your name here and ask someone to bid and you can then start the auction. If you have a name with obvious value such as a 3 letter .com, .net or .mobi or high quality 4 letter .com - not much risk for NamePros member to make a low bid and send name to auction. Your risk of course is that no one else bids and the name goes too cheap.

Really? Anyone want to low ball 1n5.net?

1n5.net is a 3 character .net - not a 3 letter .net. If you have a 3 letter .net I'll be happy to get your auction started.
