Do any of you has regularly sell your domain to end users? If so, do you mind share with me in this thread on how find potential end users for your domain?

Is it possible to transfer the domain first? It's happened before that I have paid and got nothing. I want to have the domain first, then pay. I am firm on this, you must do this if you want my money.

impressive :P repd+

Thanks Sameh. Sometimes it seems that I occasionally get a reply that is almost trying to bait me in to replying back for their entertainment, rather than having a serious interest in the domain unfortunately.

I had an enduser interested in a domain.
I countered him too high I feel so. Now he is not repying to my mails or phone calls even when I am ready to accept his offer. I need to sell the domain out.
Please help.

that's why they say never be greedy, and ask for only what your domain name is worth.. too high of an asking price hushhhes most of those end-users and then we sit here and crib about not selling anything.

I dont think he'll come back in any case or if he did, he would want another discount, that's forsure so move on and find another one (learning a lesson from your previous one)

Good luck!

here is the story,
I emailed 65 potential end users offering them a nice name. After one day I got one "how much" response in which I replied with a mid low $XXX price. In less than an hour I received a counter offer just 100 bucks below mine. I am very happy to sell the name for their price (considering it cost me reg fee) but I have this feeling that someone else from those 65 potential end users might make a bigger offer.
What would you do? Accept the offer and be happy with a good and quick sale? Wait for a better offer to come? How long would you wait? And how you say "Thanks for the offer, please give me a few days to settle the deal"?

wrap it up tbh! You may repent it later on if buyer decided against buying it later on (or in few days time). Our greed dont let us do things at a time :P however if you are happy with the offered price then just go with it as you are still making enough ROI.

Congrats for your sale!

If you are very happy, just sell it.
On the other hand, replying 24 hours later (while wait and see if there will be any other offers) shouldn't matter.

Note:It's never sold until you have money in your pocket even when buyer said sold.

Hi

65 end-users, was it all in one day?

please be careful not to spam as you'll make it bad for others, especially if sending solicitations without researching that company and sending them domains unrelevant to their interest.

for the domain you sold, how long did you own it before selling

if you sell at first opportunity, then how will you know you got the best offer?

if you wait for a better offer, how will you know if it will ever sell?

:)

It was 65 different companies that could possibly benefit from owning the name. Emailed them all in one day. I was actually doing copy/paste the same text and emailed them each one separately. I did some good research and included the name of the contact person in most cases. I do not think this is spam.

:) have you read my post? The name is not sold yet but one of those 65 potential end users made me an offer. All I am asking is your opinions on taking the offer or waiting a bit for a better offer to come in...

Elias if by now you haven't heard back from the other parties and your happy with the sales price then you should go ahead and sell it now, you can always gain a little time by saying I need to think about your offer for a day or two, but since they were so close to your BIN it doesnt make much sense and will look rather odd...

Don't wait too long or else they might change their mind (yes I had that happen before :(), it is very very rare that I receive a belated interest e-mail, but yes it can happen and would suck if they offer you a ton of money after you have sold it...

Good Luck on the Sale and see you later at N. :)

I use this same method.

And as for your offer, take it and move on to emailing for the next domain on your list. I believe you have to operate on 'knowns' - you know you have a concrete offer, but you don't know that you will receive another offer for the domain.

If you've already sold it and get another offer from someone, tell them in a polite way that the domain is no longer available - remember, giving others the impression of being successful encourages actual success (or something like that)...

It seems that is a good idea selling domain on ebay.

Can the speed at which someone responds to your pitch be used for insight into their interest?

Or what about a reply to a pitch that is just a "how much" vs one that includes a greeting, a complete sentence, and a salutation?

Am I splitting hairs or can these nuances in responses be used for insight?

all right a quick survey from everyone around here doing end-user sales..

do you get most of your replies from end-users from an email sent by you which has "domain names asking price included" or from an email sent by you without an asking price where you just ask them to "make a reasonable offer' ??!!??!?

I hope this is clear enough xdomainer :D

I only send out emails without price. If you send pitches with price and you get no reply you don't know if it was because the price is too high or because they just didn't get the email. My pitch email is just to see if they are interested in even hearing about a price. If they at least ask, you know they are interested somewhat - and maybe later you could send a lower price offer.

Made my first phone call today to complete a $100 sale. I was a little nervous beforehand but everything went fine.

hmm.. interesting and what percentage of success did you achieve through this way?
