How to compress swf files

hi, i have a problem with my swf files, are good but size is too big : 1.3mb
im searching the way to compress size but software to do that are not good.
by the way i use gif image in my flash files and use compress tool in macromedia flash.

So, how can i reduce size of my swf?

You could zip it. :P Other then that GIF files or javascript would be another way. :P

When you publish your movie there's a few settings for compression and quality, look in the publish settings.

Also, if you're making a flash movie it's best to stick with vectors as much as possible.

i used all flash compression option and results is a 1.2mb file
i tried software swf compresion like flash optimizer, and have 4 option
first option is basic compression and results is 1.2mb file
other compresion option reduze more swf file but flash dont work properly.

do you have audio in the file? If you do, take it out.

i had jpg images in my swf file i changed to gif, i removed music, original size was 1.5mb, after remove music and change jpg to gif is 1.2mb

im looking software to resize my file but not luck.

i question: if i have a fla created in macromedia 6 for example and edit this file in macromedia 8, my swf will be bigger?
