Hello everyone,

I would like your opinion on the comparison of the .NET in relation to the .ORG. Do you for instance consider the .NET the best alternative to the .COM and the .ORG especially suited to the nonprofit sector? Or has this distinction been abandoned? etc.

So if you have the choice between 100 good ORG’s or 100 equally good NET’s, what would be your choice and why? (sales volume, trustworthiness of the gTLD, price, etc.?)
Hope to hear from you.

P.S. I know that some people/lot’s only consider the .COM to have any value, but please be aware that that’s not my question…

It depends on the keywords. Some topics like health, education, legal might fit better in .ORG, but many commercial products will fit better in .NET

It is a case by case basis IMO.

Really depends on the keyword. Only certain keywords fit with .org realistically.

generally I think that .net is the best choice. There are some cases where .org is better. I think things like causes are great in .org
Save The Kids .org etc

If you are looking in terms of rankings, it really does not matter which extension you get for the keyword, but of course the .com is best. In terms of .net and .org, I feel they rank the same, if you do the same kind of seo work to them.

HI

If you can get the .net in the keyword you want then I would get it over the .org anytime, but if you can only get the keywords you want in the .org then I would grab that..

I just like .net over .org
