I have 2 websites so there is 2 different things I want to do (and maybe 2 different html codes or 2 different programs are needed for this)..

I want people to come to my website and have the option of signing up for a mailing list by inputting their email addresses. So that I can collect their email addresses and send out a mailing each month to them.

On the other site, I want to offer a free product to download, but I want customers to be "forced" to input an email address before the download of the product is even possible.

Is there a program or html code that I can use to add this kind of feature to my website? I have seen it many times, but is there anything out there that is free?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

yes lists.topica.com is free and provide subscription box html code for your site, if you want paid solutions
then go with either getresponse.com, aweber.com or emailaces.com

Well, do you want the whole shebang or do you just want a way for people to submit an email address to you to manually add?

If you want the whole shebang, many control panels offer a solution. For example, cPanel hosting offers mailman, which is a full fledged mailing list. I would go that route or a third party service as suggested above.
