Hello,

It is time to address the elephant in the room. @Sedo and @Afternic @GoDaddy are severely damaging the reputation of the entire domain industry in the eyes of both the tech world and end-users.

By failing to verify listings, these platforms are actively shielding scammers who list our domains without permission at astronomical prices. This practice directly steals leads from legitimate owners and kills real sales.

This systemic negligence has to stop. If it continues, buyers will completely lose trust, and nobody will buy domains on Sedo or Afternic anymore. Personally, I am done. I will never buy another domain on these platforms, knowing that they are flooded with fake, unauthorized listings.

How can we expect the tech industry to take domaining seriously when the largest marketplaces act as safe havens for bad actors? It is time for Afternic and Sedo to implement strict ownership verification, or face a complete boycott from real investors and buyers.

Someone listed TODAY my exclusive Dynadot domain portfolio dynadot.com/user/premiums on Afternic without my permission:

It's the same thing as someone listing your real estate for sale without permission. This kind of scam ruins the reputation of the domain industry. It means platforms like GoDaddy n Sedo end up deceiving buyers by offering inventory they don't actually have.

If you like my domains, you must buy them first and only then list them as yours. Selling someone else's property without permission is theft.

Although I do have my own set of problems with Sedo and Godaddy, I don't understand why anyone would straight away buy domains from those platforms without at least checking ICAAN registry.

Like you said, just like real estate property, imagine a buyer of real estate who does not care to verify the property owner by government records before deciding to buy the property. Everyone has their share of blame here but unfortunately the buyers will always blindly follow the aggressive godaddy ads to believe they're the best option out here The campaign to boycott them remains a far fetched fantasy.

Hi

the OP is the elephant, stomping over reputations with fanatical claims over and over
how come he is only victim, why they chose your names and nobody else’s?

why does NamePros allow this?

@Bravo Mod Team

You are correct. My Dynadot domains were also added in the afternic and sedo without my permission, so I increased the prices , verified and listed them in afternic but it's still listed in sedo by the scammer.

i reckon the word "*P" raises alarm for these Smiths and nobody shouldn't put them into defensive mode and send them to axon-stretching gym.
