About a year ago a new sales trend started on Namepros. The largest forum in the industry became the wholesale trading platform for BrandBucket.

I messaged Michael Krell and he said these auctions were allowed. See in order to participate in the auction and win you must have a BrandBucket account. The name is not only pushed at the registrar but pushed at BrandBucket as well. So BrandBucket keeps their marriage to the name for at least 30 days.

I think of it as “name arbitrage”, the seller was never going to sell individually so most buyers pass putting out $800 to $1,500. They will however pay $80 to $150 for a name they really want, if the bulk buy results in a price per domain of $20 to $50 you can make a profit. If you bought a name and got it approved at the top brandables website, why are you willing to sell for $12 ?

Because you can never be sure that your name also sells at that website and here on NP you can make quick cash with it.

you have chance of xx percent to get accepted

I think I am at 10%

so you need to register 10 names
-or maybe you are much better you need only 3 names-
to have 1 approved name at BB

now you paid
$5 to $80 USD for this one name
and spend how much
15 minutes or 2 hours to find those names

next you need to do your taxes

selling at $12 usd
is a hobby approach

and you complain :
you can't get rich no more in domaing?
all good names are gone in 2000 ??

I have so far send in 4 names, 1 has been approved, 2 rejected and 1 is still pending review. That name that is still pending review is very likely to be accepted.

What do you mean with taxes? I didnt have to fill out a tax form...

Also, I regged these names for 2$ in a promo. I would have never regged 10 names at normal price just to get one approved.

But really, if you know what good brandables are, most of your names should get approved.
