I don't see a problem with a newcomer asking for appraisals first, as long as they don't overdo it and do participate. Better to learn quickly the difference between names with value and those without.

When I registred I go quickly to Domain Newbies.

I don't participate because I only read threads now.

Simple appraisal rules :

1. If you didn't play boxing with 100 people to get a domain
2. If you found right away a two words domain that is popular to Google
3. If this domain is a .com

THEN you either :

1. Doesn't have a great value
2. Your domain has value but you must keep it for some years to increase this value


In most cases if you can get 100-500% of your original "investment" it is consider a good business deal

As far as your domains, without further development, I see no value in them. I recommend that you resist the temptation to register any more domains for a while --- read the forums... read dnjournal.com for the latest big sale numbers... see what sells... see what gets no replies... look at the best places to get expiring domains... get acquainted with basic website development and forum creation... and so on.
