How much for a logo ?

What do you think is the average price for a logo these days ?

What are the most important criterias for puting a price tag on a logo ? How much do you charge for making one ? Also, please give examples of nice logos you made, or know they where made by someone, along with the price they where sold for

For you to get a good price on how much you should charge for your services, you should visit your local competitors, and not ask on the internet. As your market could be in a village, and price value is different down there compared to a big city such as London.

Well the thing is, this is the 21'st century. People don't go to the vilage logo designer to get a logo. They prefer to contact a serious designers maybe from the other part of the country, or make a contest like the ones here on webdesigntalk.net or on freelance sites like Getafreelancer.com or rentacoder.com. And take care of everything online, without even meeting.

exactly we are still in the 21st century, people actually want to speak face to face. as much as you think you might know your potential clients, you dont

Well I disagree. More and more people are doing buisness online. You don't need to meet the designer face to face. You can do it over the internet. You can judje they'r talent by looking over theyr portofolio, wich could be a online website. So, what I am saying is that the local market is being replaced by the international one, thus prices will average over time (they can difer a lot from country to country). So this is what I am asking... what is the average price ?

20 to 100 $ is cheap. Look at www.designcontest.net, same ideea, same tipe of contests, but prices go from 200 up to 500 $ !

K, lets say $20-$200 then (depending on quality). More than that would be above average.

There are rarely any logos that i know of that go over $150.

Yes there are expections but for those i can almost gurennte that you won't be the best designer for.

i'd say 10 - 150 (Max) i'd likely normally keep at 100.

I charge around 30-150 bucks for one logo. u can view logos i have made in my signature

it highly depends on what the logo(s) are that are being designed, and how much effort the end-user actually wants in the logo(s). reputation and past work plays a part in pricing as well.
