I have seen lots of domain names having extensions .co.in, .in, .us etc..
I want to know how much they are relevant? And are they really valuable?

Say for example I want to sell forextrading.com and forextrading.in, or forextrading.co.in or forextrading.us.
So how much difference these extensions create?
And whats the order of their popularity?

And what about forex-trading.com?

Yes, extensions matter but there is no simple answer to explain how it plays out in practice; the best way to evaluate the extensions comes through research and experience. In general, .com is the primary extension and the others have their own unique strengths (.net is very good, .info has nice uses and country codes often do well.) Hyphens, in general, should be avoided as the decrease the value of the domain quite a bit. RF :tu:

I would say that extensions will increasing in the coming years but only dotcom is the king! Can not imagine how the domain industry is 10 years later!

The main "5" are the ones that matter the most i think, unless the domain name is based in the country that the extension is of :)

I got forextrading.in and that would not go for below 10k anyway, hehe :D
For world-wide usage, of course .com is the best and will continue to be. For regional, then a ccTLD is best. So for india, I'd say that forextrading.in is more relevant for serps then the .com. Still, .com is much more worth for there are much more type-ins, recognition, more domains registered etc

.com is still the leader. People are lazy and keeping things short is the way to go, for example microsoft.com will obviously over take microsoft.co.uk.

.ca is quite popular in Canada as it is our extension while in the UK .co.uk may not be as much of an effort to type as we do in North America so that extension may rank a little higher than what it is here.

Yeah I think your right but as I've said in another similar topic it depends on the purpose of the site.
