What did Tie.com sell for not that long ago? $30 K ish? I know it was a steal but, just my point about Snap (is crap) lol Ok, it's not crap, but you do not get many deals. Just everybody driving up the prices for each other. :]

Well honestly, sometimes these 2 word domains get much more traffic than a 1 word keyword domain. I know of an example where 2 names, same topic, one is a 4 letter .com and one is a 7 letter .com but more specific version of the 4 letter .com --- and the 7 letter got far more traffic than the shorter version.

Tie.com may be a 3- letter.com, but Necktie.com may be a better ROI.

Looks like it was used by Huntington Men's Clothing until they closed in sept 2001 according to the archieves.

"After 22 years of business, we at Huntington Men's Clothing are closing our doors".

I'm surprised it is currently as much as it is with no OVT - Lots of big fish in there so my guesstimate is $63,000

It's already about $25,000 overvalued.

These guys that buy names such as this remind me of those real estate speculators who were caught holding homes they could not sell last year. At some point there is no greater fool to pay more than they did.

But I feel some of these snapnames names are far more overvalued than any overpriced home is. The inherent value is much less. At least with a home there is the cost of construction, or a multiple of rent, to provide a base. With names, there is the cost of registration, or a multiple of PPC earnings.

And with every boom bust period, multiples expand and contract.

I know OVT results is not the be all and end all but if a name has NO OVT is'nt there a very good chance it does'nt get hadly any direct type in visitors ??

I was suprised to see how many names with no ovt sold for a fair bit at the last Moniker auction.
