How many days to wait when transfering out from Namecheap?

How long does Namecheap hang on to the domain when you request an outbound transfer away from them?

Is there a way to expedite it, like they have at some other registrars, by approving it right away?

When I rescued my last domain out of there, it took 6 days...6 days!!

Yes.

Namecheap sends an email to your registrant address coming from: http://transfer-approval.com/

You click the link there, and your domain gets transferred to the other registrar right away. From my experience, Namecheap sends this email between 1 day to sometimes 3 days. I'm not sure what is causing the difference, or why in some cases it could take as long as 6 days. But most of my transfers OUT of Namecheap is between 1-3 days.
