Gauging interest from the community, especially residents of Canada (CIRA rules) regarding .ca cannabis domains.

Canada is going green July 2018.

How green is your portfolio?

@Cannuck What does it exactly mean that Canada is going green in July 2018? Is there a full legalization of Cannabis? Can people open their canna eshops and start selling? Are there any restrictions?
Thank you :)

Yes, full legalization, with limits to amounts in possession and growing. Cannabis clinics are already openly selling. Government is still sorting out the legislation, meanwhile industry is moving at light speed. Soon to be mainstream with restrictions similar to the tobacco industry in two very disparate directions - medical and recreational. Next year it will likely be available on restaurant menus.

In Canada do they buy .com or .ca?

Also how is this rolling out? Localized or a national program? It's all about permitting.

What's the projected needs of this market? Reduced to growers, equipment, retail stores, and the like.

I understand what's going on in the States, at a loss for Canada

Thanks in advance

In Canada it is preferable to buy both extensions (if available). Canadians may shop .ca due to cross-border restrictions and consumer confidence. Many still prefer dot com though most good dot com's are long gone.

Federal policy and taxation, regulated on a provincial level. With a bottleneck of red tape, many growers remain in the shadows. Having a steady flow of customers in dispensaries and head shops, online stores popping up. Will be a huge demand for public education, health and medical, professional career development etc.

Next year we'll see an emergence and likely more demand for .ca as the industry defines itself.
