How Does DMOZ Work? Can't Submit URL

I've been trying to figure out how to submit my blog to DMOZ.org but cant seem to figure out how to do it.

I follow the outlines how to submit to the "T" but its seems to go in circles and no actual submission can take place.

WHAT AM I MISSING HERE?

Go to the category that is relevant to your site.

Click the submit/suggest linky. Fill in info. Done.

Now if that doesn't works then maybe they have closed it from their side.

It is as simple as Nick described but do know one thing that, a site may get accepted after may be 100 years

There are so many submission and chances of getting your site listed is almost zero.

In fact it is very difficult to understand how DMOZ works and if to be honest I can see no reason to do this. Just submit your url to DMOZ selecting the most suitable categories for a website and wait until it is approved by editors.

I agree with neck just go to relevant category because its too important.

Yes, I have forgotten to say you that when selecting the correct category you can really speed up website approval by DMOZ editors. Thanks manish07, really useful advice!
