I think I'm addicted to buying/acquiring domain names. I think this because every time I tell myself that I won't buy more.....I buy more. Am I crazy? Are the domains just too good to pass up? Am I an addict?

What's your take?

You know you are addicted to acquiring domain names when:
  • You rather buy domains than sell them.
  • You buy 10x more domains than you sell.
  • You refuse to sell certain domains when the offer is 10x what you paid.
  • You worry about missing out on an auction or expired domain more than you do about making a sale.
  • You dread selling domains, but you love buying them.
  • You write down domains you want to buy so you don't forget.
  • You spend hours per day looking through lists of domains to buy.
  • You want to buy every good domain in the world.
If you experience any of these symptoms, you're addicted.

I'm addicted, and I'm proud of it!

When every time you see sentences ending with a dot, you get an odd feeling.
Sometimes when people are talking to me, I am hearing what they are saying as domain names.

It's crazy!

When you're up answering this question at 1:21 AM when I should be sleeping but instead I'm playing with my name generator looking for some handreg gold. :)

When every time you read the news and start furiously searching for new regs :)

bidding at auctions, dropcatching etc. give you an adrenaline rush. Once you get used to it you don't want to stop. After a while you need a higher dose (better catch). Usually they cost more so you need more money. Then you start selling domains to others. Once you have it you are not satisfied and want more.

If you keep buying new names but still have all the old names unsold. Instead of selling you are trying to handreg or dropcatch the next big name. And the cycle goes on and on. Eventually you will be in debt and may sell a few decent names for pennies just to get by.

Family is mad at you.

You are ok with filing bankruptcy.
