How do you create a flash movie as on the frontpage of Moniker.com?

As the title says i want to make a welcome presentation as on the Moniker.com homepage.
What would my options be?

Note: I have never worked with Flash before.

Flash is not that difficult, but, IMO, you should try to use Flash MX2004 Professional Version 7.2 and not the newest version. The new version is not compatible in some cases.

Here is a good book FlashMX 2004 Hands on Training ISBN 0-321-20298-8 - it comes with a CD.

The key to Flash is action scripts. Those can be fun, but complicated. Here are some good books

Flash to the core by Joshua Davis - my hero
Action Script for Flash MX

A few pointers,

(1) use layers
(2) label everything
(3) use movie clips verses buttons or graphics
(4) Change your settings to publish for Flash Player 6.0

I am sure others have more experience, but that's my 2 cents.

Thank you Maxine, that does sounds good but also very elaborate. I only want some slogans fading out and a new one setting in. With a couple of nice pictures to go with it.

Are there simple tools out there that you know of that could do this?

Swish Max does very simple flash (text) no knowledge at all needed.

Google it.
