How do you close a thread?

I was trying to post in the Marketplace - Domains Wanted, but I received this message:

To create a new thread you must close one of your existing Marketplace threads or upgrade your account to a Supporter or Business Member for increased limits.

Am I able to close one of my threads, or does an admin have to?

Great question,

To close a thread, click the Thread Tools link top right of the first thread post, Then check the close box & Click Perform action.

This option should be available in most marketplace forums with an exception of a few that require staff to close. If you are trying to close a thread in a forum you feel should still allow members to close and maybe the settings are off, please let me know which forum the threads in and I'll take a look at the settings. otherwise, if its a forum that needs to remain staff close only, link me to the thread and I'll close it for you
