I would like to know more on how you choose and valuate .org domains. I own several .org, and I may have a hidden gem in there. I try to pick keywords that go with the extension, and good 4L names, but there are so many 4L with premium letters that drop, but I don't know which ones to buy, and there is not a lot on the forum pertaining to choosing the right .orgs

look for checking any domain let in your case say .org, check it's estibot evaluation and appraisal value. That will tell a lot about the domain. Also check for number of searches a domain name has , and how can it be looked upon for future. A .org are basically non-profits so the sale value is not that high.

I have makeovers///org and I can't seem to sell it for anything. And I have a few 4L .orgs as well, but I know that the letters that make 4L.coms valuable may not apply to 4L.org. Several 4L .orgs drop all the time, and they have 4 premium letters. What makes a .org valuble?

If something is available in abundant you may find it difficult to sell.
While buying .org make sure the name is short, preferably within 12 letters and it gets a minimum of 15k searches pm.

You must check the number of searches for that domain

Just Google the potential endusers...
And then decide: to reg or not to reg.

For my purposes I primarily registered .org names that are Exact Matches to my .com names in use or to my better ( IMO ) .com names I might occasionally have available for sale.

I have used several .orgs as successful " re-directs/forwards" to websites.

IF I came across a .org domain name today that was a highly popular topic / keyword I would consider its' purchase at reg fee - meaning I see or believe I see value where likely a gazillion others did not.

I'll risk a few years of reg fees for any name in any ext. I like.

Win some. Loose some.

One of my best secondary market acquisitions was a .org that was an exact match to a website section title. Recall we paid mid / high XXX I believe and used it as a very successful forwarding URL.

Once in the search engine results systems the .org brought as many or more potential/actual customers as the .com to the website.

While I primarily advocate .com names there are nevertheless values and useful purposes for the other ext.
