I regged rfrsh.com a few months back, and ive got it parked at parked.
it looks like its short for refresh, and I searched the way back machine, and it was a site relating to music/movies etc. Problem is im getting a 2-3 visits a day, but there showing as 404's, not proper visits. ive been changing keywords around over last few months but nothing is getting me to get clicks.
Any ideas what i could do with this name?
thanks for any comments
Si

how are you tracking these visitors if the pages are returning 404s?

im sorry i dont understand what you mean?
in parked it tells you how many visits you have per day plus 404's, when i clik on the days stats it will show maybe 2-3 404's from rfrsh.com

is a parked page served up when a 404 is returned?

sorry I couldnt connect on the times i tried to.
yes a parked page is served up when someone arrives at my name, even though it tells me it was a 404. basically this is what parked said.
A 404 is basically just a classification of how a visitor accessed your domain and functions the same as any other visit. The same landing pages and advertisers are displayed.

For parked domains, 404s commonly occur when domains originally developed as sites no longer have the active pages visitors may attempt to access. It may also happen if a visitor simply mistakenly types in a page that doesn't exist. When a visitor does attempt to access one of those prior or mistaken pages, it is automatically redirected to the index page of the domain, but is classified as a 404.

So ive got to put something on there maybe related to what that site was originally, to maybe get some cliks.
thanks for your help Shockie

actually, it sounds like there really isn't anything you can do on your end. a 404 is simply a "proper visit" but not to your main/root domain, but to an inner page that doesn't exist. the important thing is that ads are still served anyway...
