Eighth part of my series on lexicon domains. I analyzed the current usage of 9 English planet .com domains, and here are the results:
  • 7 planet domains are actively in use by businesses or individuals
  • 2 planet domains are up for sale
I counted "Pluto" as a planet though it is considered a dwarf planet.

So Uranus is the only one for sale, I wonder why... (I don't count Pluto just as you U didn't count Ceres or Eris).

Pluto was counted as a planet before 2006 and I learned that in school. It changed. Pluto.com is also for sale. It's my favorite planet name (even though it is not a planet ;). So memorable, easy to spell and there is the Disney comic with the dog Pluto. That's why I needed to include it. I never heard about Ceres and Eris.

Eris is almost as big as Pluto (and weighs even more), while Ceres is quite a bit smaller, but had been discovered over a century earlier (because it orbits between Mars and Jupiter).. Ceres.com is used by a business and Eris.com doesn't resolve.
