Howdy folks,

I need some recommendation for hosting. I'm not interested in hosting that JUST offers me 99% up time. I'm looking for a hosting company that's going to offer me some great customer service too! Meaning, if something's jacked up with my service they are quick to respond! AND... and this is even more critical if there's some technical question or issue ... something that the customer might deal with on their own... you'd be willing to show me how! I'm working with some new software and it requires me to make changes relating to my hosting setup. So... I don't want my host to just tell me, "You change it in the cpanel." I may actually need to you tell me where in my cpanel! :)

Hey, good luck with finding such a host. If you do find it, please do let me know! I'm hosting a busy site on a dedicated server but support is always a problem. It's not so much bad, but slow, and the responses are generic - "please make the appropriate changes in your cpanel"... once I asked them:
"I only have one hosting account in my server. I only use one, so I need to set the hard drive limit to the maximum for my only hosting account. What should I set my hard drive quota to? Currently it says unilimited"

-the response: "We don't recommend leaving it at unlimited. Please set a suitable limit to each hosting account"

That's it!

---> in the end, I've spent hours and hours searching the web for this and similar problems+solutions because support pretty much fails to deliver.

Now I usually just go ahead and search the web anyway because contacting support only leads to several emails back and forth with a 1-2 day delay between each...

Ya know, that's what has me so annoyed right now! I open a ticket and more and more often I get this canned answer, "So we might better serve you.... if you haven't already included the ... blah...blah...blah... info on your account... please do so." At which time, they close they close the ticket! :td:

Okay, I get the need for some basic info and I give them (each time) my site name, cpanel log in ID and password. Plus, everytime I open the ticket through my account login with so they've GOT to be able to see who I am... and all the info related to my account. So, when I open a ticket saying "Uhh... guys... my sites (3) are down...hmm, again." Don't ask me to jump through hoops! If I forgot to give you one piece of info, take a moment to look it up! Help me out here! :'(

This last time, I opened a ticket for just that reason (sites down) and then I had to split for three days on business. I come back... and my sites were STILL down and I get this same canned response....
