Honest opinions on Monkier

I have some $ in moniker and want to buy a domain to develop. I chose them because they have full privacy on the who is. The review section shows mostly positive reviews, however, I see some posts that their customer service is horrible. I am hosting my site elsewhere, but what are some opinions, should I just buy there, are they ok?

I use Moniker for the majority of my domains. I really like the interface, the NP special pricing ($7.44/$7.65 most TLD's, $0.25 deletes and $2 privacy) and the fact that domain registration is in real-time.

Customer service was an issue for me. I sent several emails and got no reply. This has improved greatly recently as I now email my account rep directly and get a very fast response, sometimes in less than five minutes.

I have used lots of different registrars and Moniker is still my favorite
