i've noticed alot of companies that promise thousands of hits to your website. Has anyone used these and which ones are good or which ones has anyone had success with?

I don't use them. But if you decide to go for it, make sure they are targetted hits. Otherwise they are just useless hits that will drain your bandwidth quota as well as your marketing budget.

I personally do not believe those kind of advertisement. I personally use word of mouth, the best marketing method available. ^^

Depending on the service provider who your order traffic from can determine who is honest, provides the best results. Most traffic sites don't show you where the traffic comes from, some do. Not all traffic sites are the same.

There are some companies that use unfair practices so you have to be careful. Deal with a company that can show you where the hits come from, either by domain names, or network. Our company shows a client if he wishes where the traffic comes from with our domain redirection, geo targeting system that we have in place.

Not all traffic companies are scams, the good ones show you the traffic, have great email, tel support, and operate as a full time basis, not some part time setup.
